Q: My Sheepskin has a smell, is that normal?
A: Sheepskins are a natural Animal product. It is normal for a Sheepskin to have a slight smell when it is knew. That smell will go away over time. Also remember that our Sheepskins are hand crafted and do not go through the same chemical baths that larger companies use. While these "bathes" can remove the smell, is it worth having a product like that in your home?
Q: I ordered multiple sheepskins and I notice the leather is different thicknesses. Is this normal?
A: Different breeds of sheep have different hides so yes this is normal. A dutch breed tends to have a very thick leather backing where as Icelandic have a softer and thinner leather. You should not notice a large difference in leather thickness from the same breed of sheep however.
Q: Will my pets ruin a Sheepskin?
A: Each pet is different and acts on its own so we can't say yes or no to this question. However It does seem like cats have a stronger attraction to sheepskins then most dogs and will some times test there claws on them.
Q: Can I use my sheepskin outdoors?
A: Although it is possible to use a sheepskin outdoors. We suggest that our Sheepskins be Indoor use only. Exposure to extreme humidity or heat can have a negative effect on the Skins.
